Port Washington Trip

Once again, Eileen has pulled off a successful field trip for us.  We visited Cedarburg for touristing and shopping, then enjoyed a wonderful dinner and show at "Memories" in Port Washington.  Hats off to Eileen for all the work she puts into organizing these trips (and all the joy she takes in trying to make 50 people happy).  Thank you!

Quote of the Day

“There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”
               ~~Isaac Asimov (1980)

Loved Isaac.  He was a force for rational thought and behavior. I discovered him after inheriting scores of his paperbacks that had been stored in a basement.  I'll always think of Isaac with the scent of mildew wafting through my brain.

Sorry for the Absence

Can't believe it's been a month since a new posting.  Been busy reworking the membership database.  A good way to loose your mind.
